Hi everyone - this email is to suggest that we CHANGE the time we go outside and make some noise to show our collective support and appreciation for our health and frontline workers! Let's make it 7PM (versus 7:30).
Joseph Cull has started a Shine Some Light initiative (see attached), asking people to light Christmas lights, candles and other sources of light in front of their houses from 7:00-8:00, so moving to 7:00 will coordinate with his initiative and with another neighbourhood group which has been making noise at 7:00. So hopefully, we will get more of a critical mass this way. It may also be a better time for families with small children.
I encourage all of you to join in and bring our special neighbourhood together in showing our thanks. It gives us a few minutes to share with our neighbours as we hunker down inside our homes. We also all know several frontline and healthcare workers in OUR neighbourhood - and they deserve our thanks!
Let's all join in! It feels good.
