Group Rate for the Duct Cleaning

We are planning to get our Duct and Dryer cleaned after a long while. I am getting mine cleaned and the tech offered a discount if we get a group of 4-5. He quoted $400 and asked if we have more houses he could do it for $200 including Dryer vent cleaning free for the one AC unit house, interested people pm me House address and Contact number so I can add you to the list.

Hi all. Not sure if anyone else contacted to get information on Duct cleaning,  but after checking in with Steven, having been contacted by Tyler, and scheduling for my house,  I had  some weird communications

The contact from the company is Tyler (just like the BBB scam report I located below!). And in addition to only being able to schedule times "the day before" he was reticent to give his company name.  Once I got that,  I did a quick check at BBB, and found the information below.  

I sent the link below to Tyler and asked "This you? " and he responded "No.  Same name but that's another company working in Utah. "  However,  company name,  contact name, contact number are identical as the BBB scam report (amazing coincidence...?),  and while the company is listed as from Utah,  the scammed consumer is in Idaho, so it appears they do a circuit of the West.  I imagine Eugene,  Oregon could be in that circuit--- "if we can only get TWO MORE PEOPLE to get money from there!"

Does anyone on Village know Steven Earley?  Or is this just a scam spam account?   

If you signed up, you may wish to do some more research and/ or gauge your threshold for risk. I'm canceling.

Matt Williams posing as a neighbor in a local group made the following post on Facebook: 

"I am getting my ducts and dryer cleaned by Tyler (works at Elite Ducts). Would anyone else in the community like to join me and get the group rate? We need at least 4 people to get the group rate, the date would be determined based on the amount of people who needs cleaning. Recently my friend hired them and they were fabulous. If you want to get on the schedule just PM me for more details." 

A number of people in the community asked for more info and were sent a private message via Facebook Messenger. Worked with Matt to book the appointment - scheduled for March 17th between 2-5PM. They did not show up and Mr. Williams reached out to see how my experience was and I told him they didn't show up and did not call. I then rec'd a text saying they were sorry for the miscommunication and they tech would be there shortly. The "tech" showed up a bit later and completed the duct cleaning. The vehicle was a white Ford F150 with no company markings, they did complete basic duct cleaning - nothing as noted in the IM - "all vents, system inspection. Using a Negative Pressure Machine.". I did pay him as he did perform "a service" but felt weird about it since. They did not provide an invoice and I am not finding any Elite Ducts listed in Utah. The text came from James (801) 404-0485 which leads to Dreamers Wish Foundation in West Valley City, Utah - but has nothing to do with duct cleaning. It would be nice to get my money back, but just want to get people warned about this as a potential major scam.
