Hi Village,
Someone on the Internet found this old cassette tape and wondered if anyone else on the internet knew anything about it. From the look of it, I suspect that if any organizations in our fair city would have this kind of historical information it would be Community Village and the WoW Hall. Does anything here look familiar to any of you old heads?

PS - I hope it's clear from context, but just to be positive: I intend "old head" in its most respectful, even reverent sense. Y'all carry the knowledge of what the counterculture was back when it was a unified response to a mass culture of despair and death. Your memories of how we kept a counterculture movement together through those years have to be a guiding light forward now in a time of what feels like interminable fracturing into smaller and smaller microcultures. Unity wins. Love leads the way.

I was curious so I Googled the band Bovine Impulse and this UO school newspaper article references a mixed tape called Panic on 13St (vs Positive 13St)
Is it Garage Punk? When you said "old heads" I assumed Dead Head type music. Now I want to hear the tape!

I have no idea! I think I know there was crossover between the punk and jam scenes in the '80s, fueled by shared anti-nuke/anti-regan activism. But I was a small child and therefore not plugged in. Hopefully someone knows. In the meantime, if the internet person does end up digitizing the tape and sharing it I'll let you know!
