Hello Village,

I'm Erin Moody, and I'm interested in joining our village council.

I've been attending the fair every year since I came to Eugene in 2011, fresh from the Midwest. Watching the fair and its beautiful energy every year, even as a visitor, was incredible and inspiring, and drew me back every time.

I started my participation at fair through Hilltop Bakery in 2018, and joined village the following year. I participated through running workshops, with Eric and Margaret coordinating us artists. After covid, Eric and Margaret asked if I would like to take on the coordinator role for the booth. 

I have now been the booth coordinator for 3 years, and am delighted to continue learning all the folks who make up our community village. Helping bring together these creative people, and support them, has been wonderful for expanding my enjoyment in being a part of community village, and the fair. This year was my best fair, yet. 

I want to help our village embody the hopeful and beautiful ethos of our community and its future. I would like to continue to show up and build toward what we can all agree to do for eachother, together. Being a part of our village council appears to be a great path forward in that for me.

In our greater community, I am committed to supporting folks through self-expression by supporting individuals, and facilitating art classes for folks with alter-abilities. My own firm belief in all folks of all abilities being deserving of respect and support in achieving their goals with patience, clarity, understanding, and informed consent can and should carry easily into our village. 

I ask that anyone with comments and concerns for my stand would bring those to me and to council, to consider any resolutions needed.
