Ralph C. Smedley Memorial Fund® was
established
in 1965 to advance the Toastmasters International mission
through the research, development and distribution of
educational programs and materials relating to
communication
and leadership. Examples of potential use of funds:
- Educational
Materials – Support advanced educational
technology
and the development of a customized program for colleges
and
universities.
- Geographic
Initiatives – Invest in new
and
developing markets to make Toastmasters accessible to
more
people.
- Youth
Outreach – Build the
confidence of
tomorrow’s leaders by offsetting costs of programs and
materials.
- Hardship
Assistance – Encourage and
give
hope to people in hardship situations.
- Emergency
Relief – Offer relief to those suffering losses
due
to extreme disasters.
