to Never Too Old (A YA Book Club for Adults)
Hi Everyone,

See below for the message from Julie about the Sulzer YA Book Club.  If you are part of that book club but did not get the email below then you may want to reach out to Julie to be put back on the list.

Thanks!
Lindsay

Subject: issue with YA for Adults book club email list
To: Julie Hanson <jha...@chipublib.org>

Good evening,

It has come to my attention that email addresses on our list have fallen off somewhat mysteriously. I am afraid many of you did not receive the link to the meeting for last Saturday. Please accept my sincere apology. I sent the email to the group on Thursday evening last week; I was adding new members to the list as recently as Wednesday, and there were about 60 members total. I heard from one person on Saturday that they didn't receive the link; when I went to check the list, I was shocked to see that there were no emails on it at all.

We are trying to sort out what happened (my supervisor has reached out to the tech people at the library) and if the data can be retrieved.

In the meantime, I am reaching out to everyone for whom I have an email address. If you have a friend who has participated in the past (or would like to in the future) feel free to forward to them. They can email me to be added to a new list.

The book club has been active for many years and we have never experienced this issue. Again, I am deeply sorry for this. I am starting on a new list now, and will keep a file as a backup so I am not relying on Outlook groups alone.

The next meeting will be on Saturday, October 15 @1pm. The book is Fable and we have plenty of extra copies available for checkout on the "book club" display, to your left as you enter the library.

I will include the link here, but will send out a reminder email with the link a few days before, as usual. Also, just so you are aware, this is set up in zoom as a recurring meeting, so the meeting ID and passcode should be the same and should let you access the meeting from one month to the next. As a reminder, now that zoom has gone back to the 40-minute time limit, we usually plan to end at 1:40. However, if the discussion is still going strong and more time is needed, feel free to click on the link again to re-enter.

Finally, if you no longer would like to receive emails about this book club, please just let me know and I will remove you from the list. Thanks for your patience!
