Subject: Terrific Opportunity for a Top Rate Programmer - Please Help!
Importance: High
Hi Jeremy,
I hope this note finds you well. Measuring Success is beginning our hiring process for an experienced database architect and web developer to build and implement a comprehensive, customer-centric data warehousing environment to support marketing initiatives for non-profit and faith-based organizations.
This project will be a transformative initiative for the non-profit community of Jewish organizations, where our pilot is focused. Leading online players like Amazon and Netflix have leveraged market basket analysis (data aggregation and predictive analytics) to create trusted relationships with their customers by recommending the right books, movies, or items at the opportune time. We aim to take this approach to non-profit organizations serving a community along a continuum from womb to tomb. We have already won several high-profile grants (www.jewishnewmedia.org) to launch our pilot.
Since I know you care deeply about the non-profit and Jewish community, I would really appreciate your help in identifying individuals and/or small firms in your personal and professional network that may fit our target profile. The work commitment would be ideally structured as an intensive two to three month engagement beginning July 1, and a retainer for continued lower-intensity support services the rest of the year. We are located in Washington, DC, so proximity to us is ideal but not mandatory.
What is mandatory is to find a programmer(s) who is very excited about the project and the opportunity. We can’t compete with Silicon Valley in terms of the available budget, though it is substantial. What we can compete on is offering the opportunity for a programmer to be involved in the formative stages of a project that is going to re-invent how non-profit organizations connect with the communities they serve.
Desired Experience:
· Experience building websites and integrating them with enterprise databases to produce high-quality actionable data
· Experience building enterprise architecture in a MySQL environment
· Experience in Data mining methodologies such as affinity rules learning
· Experience implementing APIs such as JSON for integrating partner data to be used for marketing campaigns
· Experience with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access)
· Experience working in a fast-based environment under tight deadlines
If you are so inclined, please feel free to take a few minutes to review our plan here (http://www.measuring-success.com/jewishjourneyconnector/) which includes a link at the bottom with sections of our winning grant application.
