Thank you Karen for your recent article at
http://www.npri.org/publications/it-makes-us-all-look-ridiculous
regarding the CCSD Trustees Governance Policy that has been used by
the trustess to hide under. It appears that the trustees are tired of
looking stupid for willing allowing the district to trounce all over
them. Yet has one of the trustees put forward a motion to get rid of
them? Or is their disgust only due to the upcoming elections? (It
seems we heard the same rhetoric 2 years ago, 4 years...).
If the Trustess will not do anything to undo the mess they created
with the Governance Policy, why not have the state legislature change
that situation? The laws that create and empower the Board of
Trustees comes from the legislature. The power to have a Governance
policy was granted by the legislature. ( NRS 386.4154, 4156 and 4158)
Its an experiment that is a grand failure.
Nothing in the state or federal law states that the trustess, nor the
district, nor the state Superintednet of Public Instruction nor the
state legislature, nor their designee can escape responsibility for
the actions committed by those persons that they entrusted their power
to. But a good start is to get rid of the untouchable top 5 who
conspire daily with Uncle Walt to subvert state, federal and CCSD
policies and procedures
