Do you believe that Professional Development classes should test the
teachers after completion of the course with at least 80% and write a
paper on how they will apply this course in their classroom?
Do you believe that the Truancy Court and the Clark County School
District Policy and Procedures should be revamped and how?
When a Special Needs child becomes unruly in class that the school
should call the police and have them arrested on Felony Charges when
their Behavior Plan is not being implemented. What are the
repercussions of this on the child and the school when they call the
police on the child?
Do you feel that it would beneficial for each school to have an
Advocate for the Kids in the school on a daily basis? This would be
in individual or company that is not associated with the school
district?
Are Security Police Officers REAL police, lke Metro, or not?
Many Principals will and have changed the grade of student, against
the teachers wishes and backup material, so the student can graduate
- what would you do?
What are your feelings on kids being "Left Back" (aka Retained)- which
is not done in the Clark County School District? Who has the final
deciision on this?
What are you feelings on using the Present Levels of Performance as an
assessment on how the teachers are teaching our kids? Should the
Present Levels of Performance, in your mind, be used once at least
once a year on all students?
Do you believe that each trustee should have their own "Cabinet" (like
the Superintendent has) of people that they trust and are experiened
to help them make sound, solid, and comprehesive decisions on their
votes?
How many "Undercover Police" are at each Board meeting?
Do you feeling that it should be mandatory for Hall Monitors and Bus
Drivers, etc. be trained in Special Needs Accommodations for children
and teens?
At the end of the school year, every year, our bus drivers have been
beaten, abused, etc. by the school kids. How can you stop this and
protect our bus drivers?
Do you feel that all Trustees should be trained in how Special
Education works, the IEP and the Behavioral program?
Do you feel that each Trustee should go to at least 2 Due Process
Court hearings in full and the reason why or why not?
Do you believe that all meetings with the school, district and parents
should be tape recorded if the parent requests this? Why or why not?
Do you know the the difference between an Option 1 and a Option 2
diploma?
Do you know that an Option 2 diploma can be had WITHOUT passing the
all the Proficiency Exams and the schools push this on Special Needs
students?
If a Special Needs Student has an Option 2 Diploma, which Military
Service does not accept this Diploma?
What is another name for an Option 2 Diploma?
What is your impression of the Nevada Special Education Avisory
Committee formed by Governor Gibbons under the direction of the Nevada
Department of Education?
Since the Trustees have no accountability to anyone for non-compliance
of anything what would you initiate to have accountability of the
Trustees to bring them to court that is legal to do?
What is the policy for the "Superintendent Review" that you would
change right away?
Were you "embarassed" when our Superinendent was nominated as
Superintendent of the year? Do you know WHO nominated him?
AYP - Are you aware that the AYP does not mean we have met yearly
progress but have just met an objective to get to meeting Yearly
progress?
There is a move in the state political arena to take back education
and utilize empowerment schools, more charter schools, and vouchers.
What does the candidate support and what will they do to help
facilitate this change?

These questions that I have written are not just for you but anyone
running for office, especially as a Trustee and Dept of Education,
everyone. These questions are what should be known by every Trustee
and is not. No Trustee has taken the time to really delve into Special
Education and the Teachers that teach them to undersand what both go
through. That is why $14 million was taken out of Special Ed from the
ARRA funds....because of the ignorance they have about Special
Education...of which you know is my passion. Once they know about
Special Education they will see how this benefits the General
Education Students as well.....both benefit.
I hope your back is feeling better......Let's get you back into the
race!
Sincere regards, Rose Moore

What a great group of questions!!!
The election is 12 days away and your radio show is two days away.
I would dearly love to file a freedom of information act request to
find out such things as many of the items you ask here.
I know that the trustees will not tell me how many undercover cops
they have at school board meetings (or anything else either.)
In the interest of time... If you are asking for facts (or your
opinion of the facts) that you know the answers to then please give us
the facts and then I'll give my opinion on those facts/opinions.
I hope that this sounds reasonable to you because you have information
that the public should know.
Having been interviewed last show by Rick and had the time to know his
scholarly analysis of the building code vs. CCSD portables I'm sure
that you have meticulously researched these issues already.
Normally I would take the time but i have a legal complaint i'm
assembling that is very significant and on a deadline too.
Thanks
Ken
