Hello Neurospora community,
Now that we have the Neurospora Google Group up and running again, it is possible that, depending on what email program you use and how strict the spam filters are on it, that messages from the Neurospora community might go to your junk mail folder. This came to my attention when my own email program quarantined my message from yesterday.
To fix, just add "
neuro...@googlegroups.com" to your safe senders list. This depends on your email program, of course, but it is fairly straightforward with Microsoft Outlook (the program I use). To do so:
1. Open Outlook in either a web browser or the desktop app (I am customizing these instructions using the web browser version of Outlook).
2. Click on the "Settings" button in the top right corner.
3. Click on the "Junk email" link.
4. Scroll down to "Safe senders and domains"
5. Click on the "Add" link.
6. type in:
7. hit Enter.
8. Click the "Save" button, and close out the window.
You should now receive all messages posted to the Neurospora community Google Group.
Thanks everyone. Happy Holidays!
