I found my old Neuros MP3 player Tried charging it but would not work. So got a replacement battery and opened it up to replace and connected to circuit board. I see the yellow light flash but I can’t get anything to show up on the LCD screen. Tried charging overnight and still won’t turn on. Any ideas. Would be cool to get this running after 20 years and see what songs had on there lol.

twenty years already? You've got to be kidding me.

Sorry I can't help with the neuros audio player. Didn't ever remember
there was one.
I just have the Neuros OSD...

Hello --

My player  still works !!

I few years back I swapped in a 80g drive  now the drive is just about full -- over 13,000 tracks on it

The battery will work for a about 10 minutes or so, so for the most part I run it with the ac adaptor  all the time

I would use the NDBM java program to build/rebuild the db which worked find -- there was a bummer
a few months back --- my computer was running with win7, and the Neuros would connect to  the computer
with no problem via the usb2 port -- now that the computer  is win10 its not connecting

I was planning to swap in a 120g drive -- I found a SSD  that might work!

But I am still looking for info on how to get the Neuros into admin mod so I can format the drive

any info on that would be appreciated

The battery has the wires solder to it but connects via a PBC connector to board. Just pull it off board and reconnected new battery

Format it with your computer.
