Hi Edwin,

I'm not sure what Daniel used to design those boards. Please sent him an email to figure that out and let the rest of us know when you do. Thanks.

Hi Jon,

I currently need the RACA stimulator modules. Daniel sent the files to us before. However, I don't know how to open it. It is not a CAD file. Could you give some explanations about how to open it? Thanks.

Hi Daniel,

We have a guy on the NeuroRighter mailing list (CCed) who wants to use your RACS simulator modules with NeuroRighter. Can you provide him (and me, since I've now realized I don't have the files for some reason) with the RACS layouts? I've told him to be sure to site your RACS paper if he uses the devices in a publication.

Thanks!

- Jon

What is the file extension? I remember when he first made them, he was
using expresspcb (free download: http://www.expresspcb.com/) or
EagleCAD (http://www.cadsoftusa.com/).

Hi, Jon

Thank you so much, PCBexpress works. BTW, since our preamp is 1060-Inv-BC, do you have any idea or experience about the compatibility? Could we just connect the RACS to the pin of the amplifier?

Probably. Not sure if ground is exposed, which obviously you will need to to reference your stimulation voltages against.

Hi, Jon,

We are trying to fabricate the stimulation PCBs using the files you sent us but encountered the problem regarding the proprietary of the files. We first contacted the Sunstone Circuits, who fabricated the in vitro interface and converter PCB boards for us, but they replied that the files are proprietary to ExpressPCB alone. Then we contacted ExpressPCB but they replied that the files were not created using their software and they even couldn’t import these files for fabrication. (Strangely, we can import the file with the ExpressPCB) Could you please let us know the correct company we should look for?

Hmm, that's strange. You might try a company called futurelec. They
supposedly take any file type and make PCBs from it. I've personally
never tried it, but it is cheap and quality is rumored to be pretty
good too. Adafruit had a decent review of fab houses a while back:
http://www.ladyada.net/library/pcb/manufacturers.html
Lastly, if you need, I can send the expressPCB files I made a few
years back for RACs modules - nearly exact same thing as the original
with a few small modifications.

They were definitional made with sunstones software. I did not make them though, John Rolston did.

Hi, Jon,

Thank you for your information, I will check with the company. However, it will be very helpful if you can send me a expressPCB file to qxu...@e.ntu.edu.sg. Thank you so much!
