Hi, Everyone,

I was stuck in the stimulator PCB for a long time. The problem is no one could fabricate this.

The attached compressed file contains the .pcb document. It could be opened by the software of ExpressPCB, but ExpressPCB said they can't import the document into ExpressPCB, so they can't fabricate for us.

For other manufacturers, either they won't do this because this is the proprietary of ExpressPCB (although ExpressPCB didn't think so....), or they need a gerber file instead of a .pcb. Did anyone fabricate the PCBs? Or is there any free software could help me convert this .pcb to a gerber file?

Thanks so much!

Wow, thats pretty bad. Im not quite understanding the issue though. When you say the file can be opened with ExpressPCB software, but it can't be imported, what do you mean? Can you see the PCB in their software? If so, why cant you generate the gerbers?

Also - when you say 'stimulator PCB' are you referring the Daniel Wagenaar's Stimulator modules? if so I can transfer those to EAGLE in about 2 minutes.

Yes, I can see the design in the ExpressPCB, but the company said they can't... Could this software generate a Gerber?

Yes, is there any other stimulator PCB I missed? If you can, it could be great! Thanks a lot!

Just in case it helps, I have attached expressPCB schematic and layout
that I made a few years back. This design is based on Daniel
Wagenaar's original, but modified slightly to accommodate a different
MCS amplifier.

One thing to be really careful of if you use these: When using 4
identical 16 channel modules, you'll have to cut away the corners of
2 of them to get them to fit properly (see attached picture, upper
left and bottom right). Bad design, I know, but it was our path of
least resistance of the time, and it worked just fine. Also, be
careful about which corners you cut away, because the mapping between
NR channels and actual stimulator channels can be mismatched. That's
what happened to us, so we had to remap channels in NR code, then
recompile. I can post that on request, too. Just say the word.
Whether you have to remap depends on which corners you cut away.

In the meanwhile, I hope these expressPCB for stimulator modules files
might be helpful.

Cheers, Jon E.
