Hello NR users,

We are trying to use this system to construct an in-vitro feedback loop between neural network and robot.

During the experiment, we meet two problems.

Version: v1.1.0564(BETA)

DAQ cards: 3 pieces of PCIe-6259

Device1 and 2: for Recording

Device3: for Stimulating

1st problem is the number of available channels for stimulating always shows 16.

We have checked the connection between hardwares, it is connected as manual in NR website. The 64 channels recording function is normal, but the number of channels to stimulate is always 16.

Besides, we also find that before adding RTSI cable, the number showed in stimulation function is 64. After synchronized by RTSI cable, the number becomes to 16.  I have attached the settings of NR parameters for reference.

The 2nd problem is after the click of enable stimulation timing (in Aux Input). The manual stim function cannot work properly. The warning message is ' resource requested by this task has already been reserved by a different task.   Task Name: stimIvsV     Status Code: -200022'.

We guess maybe it is because we have chosen the same card (Device 3) for stimulator I/V control and stimulation timing. Should I choose another device for Stimulator I/V Control?

Is there anyone have had this kind of problem during the operation of NR? Could you please inform me some possible causes for the two problems?

Thank you very much.

Teresa

Hi Teresa,

As you guess, the problem is that the resources required to record stim timing and IV control are overlapping in terms  on the card.

Sorry for the delay -- I've been travelling around Europe for the last weeks. Indeed, I think the best solution is to use another card to control I/V -- its just a digital line, if I recall. Try this and let me know how it goes.

Jon
