Hi Padraig,

Thanks for asking!  I expect that there is someone on the list (cc'ed) who can help explain.  I don't want to mangle the explanation.

Best,
  Stephen

Hi,

Maybe a blast from the past for you... Do you know why there's not a distinction between Layer 5 & Layer 6 pyramidal cells in NeuroLex: http://neurolex.org/wiki/Category:Neocortex_pyramidal_cell_layer_5-6?

I would have thought that this was a reasonably well accepted distinction. Also, some of the metadata here suggests this entry is meant for just Layer 5 cell. There's also many who feel that there are 5A and 5B subtypes.

Who's the best to talk to about this? Should I just contact sup...@neuinfo.org?

Thanks!
Padraig
