I'm wondering what the policy is regarding using the live demo at: https://neuroglancer-demo.appspot.com/. Are we supposed to deploy our own instances of Neuroglancer if we use it frequently on our datasets, or can we keep using the live demo assuming we don't need any modifications to the code? Thank you!

You are free to use it if it serves your needs. It is just a static site hosting the client --- there isn't any significant hosting cost.
