Appropriate mechanism to fund some more code reviews?

What would be the appropriate mechanism to provide funding for someone to perform more code reviews on outstanding pull requests? 

It seems like there is starting to be quite a backlog. 

Can some non-profit funding be provided to free up time of the current set of reviewers, perhaps by spinning off other tasks? Or providing some funding for additional reviewers?
