Ihave a ru7100 tv that had a firmware prior to 1401. One day when turning the tv on I'm being received by a message on the tv that said something along the lines of "updated successfully" (don't remember the exact words.)

That auto-update (OTA) was to 1401, and this introduced the bug with the subtitles. When this happened I've searched the forums (official Samsung forums) and there was little information, so my next stop was to go to the official Samsung page, with my specific model number and search for a firmware update. At the time, there was indeed an update with the number 1409 (remember, official page) so I've downloaded it, and installed it. This fw did NOT fix the subtitles bug.

Called Samsung support ARGENTINA, they never EVER understood my problem, made me factory reset the hub, the tv, asked me to turn my tv to the official service for a checkup (which i'll no -taking my device to a service center). A week later I found that the firmware 1409 "doesn't exist", and instead is replaced by the 1406 (again, official Samsung page for my model). So I've downloaded it, but cannot upgrade -obviously- because my installed firmware got a bigger number that the "newer" firmware I'm trying to install.

A few days passed by, and started to find many many posters (in this European forums) talking about this exact same problem, and Samsung ACKNOWLEDGED them by manually releasing a 1409.1 (which really is the 1406 If I'm not mistaken).

Of course the fw manually released by Samsung Europe for this particular issue is for the European users, meaning that I should not install that fw on my tv. That's why I'm on a quest to find that manually-released fw, but for the LATAM counterpart.

I've tried MANY MANY times talking to the support number for Argentina, and in every case the agents that took my case (first line support) treated me like crazy, like the fw 1409 NEVER existed, that the LAST version is the 1406, and they even said I've lied and "installed the wrong fw version from another tv". Of course my tv is out of warranty, and I will not take the tv to any service because obvious reasons.

I use a sony muteki home theater connected via SPDIF, and now everything is out of sync (everything that comes out the SPDIF). Lets say I open youtube, the audio is out of sync, and trying to correct it from the samsung works, BUT ONLY for youtube. If I change to prime video, USB, disney, apple TV, etc. The sync needed is DIFFERENT for every platform.

Something weird is going on here.

What is your tv model and exactly the firmware version? Mine is model QN65Q6RAGXZD firmware T-MSMUABC-1409.0 and I am facing the same issue. I am gathering users with the same issue to make a big complaint at samsung Latin America, to see if they move their big backs to fix this.

Hi, my exact model is the UN50RU7100GCZB, and the FW downloaded from the official samsung page (filtered by my model) is the T-MSLUABC-1409.0. (I still have the file downloaded from their servers, and also have the URL -they deleted from the page-)

Count me in. My experience with Latam support was horrendous, like I've said in the original post, they treated me like a liar about a serious mistake they did.

trying to update will not break anything (for example, if you download the oficial 1406 fw posted by samsung when you search for your specific model). The only thing tha will happen is that the tv will refuse to "update" to a "previous version" fw.

My device is S6 Edge SM-G25F i was rooted it a while ago what if i install latest firmware back with odin can i use samsung pay or not? and device is from germany i have lost the firmware and csc how can i find the original build and csc? final question is im in turkey but device firmware will be german ,samsung pay is coming to our country in 4. quarter of this year so is samsung pay region based or firmware based?

Hi I do believe as soon as you rooted your device it would of tripped knox to 0x1 and as a result Samsung pay won't work as it would be a security issue if Knox is showing 0x0 it shouldn't be a problem you can download the app About phone and see your knox status a good place to look about custom roms is the XDA developers site

Hiw can i learn my original firmware. And which firmwares are compatible with samsung pay (g925f) at least i can install compatible firmware and test if app works or not if works i can wait for to release of samsung pay for my country

NOTE if you plan on installing a custom Rom watch some of the videos on you tube.If you trip the knox security from 0x0 to 0x1 Samsung pay will not work as it will breach security. If you go to the playstore and do load the app called ABOUT PHONE you will be able to see your Knox status amongst other things

Hello Emmi, thank you so much for the fresh firmware for this model, I recently purchased the same monitor and could not find a new firmware in any way. Please tell me how can I find information about new firmware for this monitor on the official Samsung website? Is this firmware for this model the newest or is there a newer one? Thank you very much, I will be very grateful for the answer.

Please forgive me, I am writing my message through a translator, perhaps not quite correctly. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for your reply! I would be very grateful if you could let me know what Samsung representatives say or if there is a newer firmware version for this device. Thanks again, have a nice day and all the best.

Unlike most Android devices, Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets don't have a true Fastboot interface for firmware flashing. The OEM developed its own firmware flashing tool known as "Odin," named after the king of Gods in Norse mythology. Odin communicates with a special software component called "Loke" which seems to be named after another important character in Norse mythology (often translated as "Loki"). Loke runs on Samsung devices while in download mode and provides the functionality necessary to perform a flashing operation.

Odin firmware files are like the factory images for the Google Pixel lineup, just compressed into one single archive and made easy to use via a GUI tool instead of a command line tool such as Fastboot. Samsung's FUS (Firmware Update Server) also offers incremental as well as full OTA ZIP files, which are meant to be installed using the stock recovery environment.

Notably, the modding community has managed to reverse-engineer Samsung's Odin-Loke flashing protocol. Heimdall, for example, is a cross-platform open-source tool that can be used to flash Galaxy devices. With that said, we will be sticking with Odin in this tutorial for the sake of user-friendliness and better compatibility factor.

Samsung maintains many region-specific and carrier-specific update channels. As a result, you have to determine the exact consumer software customization code, AKA the CSC value of your device, before downloading the Odin firmware. Keep in mind changing the CSC of an existing device or cross-flashing a different firmware is possible, but explaining such modifications is out of the scope of this tutorial.

Since we're dealing with official Samsung firmware packages, there is no need to unlock the bootloader of the target Galaxy device prior to flashing. This is specifically important for carrier models (which are notoriously difficult to bootloader unlock), as you can easily flash a compatible unlocked firmware on those variants and get rid of the carrier bloats on a locked bootloader.

Depending on the firmware type, the installation process may require a PC. Odin, for example, requires Windows, so keep that in mind while trying to update the firmware on any Samsung phone. Moreover, make sure you have the latest Samsung Android driver package installed.

Odin isn't actually intended for regular users, but since it's an official tool from Samsung, your phone will allow it to load the necessary files for flashing the firmware without unlocking the bootloader. However, using it incorrectly can still damage your device. Proceed with caution.

Grabbing the right version of Odin is the first step. Due to the fact, the tool is never meant to be used by consumers, Samsung doesn't host it on a public download portal. Fortunately, XDA Senior Member realbbb maintains a repository of verified copies of the Odin tool. He also offers patched variants of Odin (known as "3B patched") that are capable of bypassing a number of Samsung-imposed obstacles while cross-flashing.

I have a 2019 65'' Q90r Samsung TV. The EU has firmware version 1419 available to download through the community pages, not the official support site. This firmware version fixes many issues in regards to eARC. Is firmware version 1419 available yet through back channels like it is in the EU? I'm currently on version 1409 and can't go back to the latest official release, 1406.

I have the exact same issue as you. I am in the US. I am currently on 1409 and I have no way to update to 1406.4 since it is a lower firmware version. At this point they have not removed the link for their 1409 firmware so anyone who downloads it will potentially be in the same situation locked into a firmware they can no longer update until Samsung fixes the issue. As stated in the previous post TVs in the EU had the same problem and it was resolve by their support. I posted the AVS forum link were others in the US are having the same problem as well.

I have the same issue, on 1409. When I have called for support (sound will be working on 1 HDMI port, switch to another, and sound on that one will not work until a hard reset). I have been told that they will release, but I do not believe they are working on this. I would hope they release a new version for those of us on 1409 that are having issues.

When I use my 2022 apple tv 4k it will just randomly lose sound when switching apps and playing audio. I ended up having to power the TV off and back on again to resolve the issue. I wish Samsung would listen and just release a firmware with a higher version number than 1409 with the same changes as 1406.4 and resolve this problem but I dont have a lot of hope at this point.
