"I can strongly affirm that UCLL has definitively played a crucial role in shaping my personal and professional growth, through their dynamic, innovative, and multicultural mindset that consistently empowered both my hard and soft skills. The hands-on projects, associated with each exam, gave me the opportunity to work on real briefs written by existing local companies, facilitated my interactions with different stakeholders to improve my ownership and critical thinking, allowing me the opportunity to act as a leader in difficult situations. All these skills are fundamental in my day-to-day work tasks and, I strongly believe, are the perfect recipe for a better understanding of where today's business world is heading."

"This University has been the source of some of many great achievements in my life. Getting to make tight bonds within a certain set of time was made possible thanks to UCLL. It certainly sparks a certain flair when it comes to firing up the embers we have as students. The mere fact of being exposed to such an International experience has taught me how to put to use my skills on a wider range than expected. Putting more practicality than theory was one of the eminently crucial points in the choice of studying at UCLL."

"Choosing UCLL for my bachelor's degree transformed both my academic and professional outlook. The emphasis on collaborative projects enhanced my marketing skills, laying a robust foundation for future employment. The first-year curriculum seamlessly blended theoretical concepts with practical techniques, fostering crucial skills like managing tight deadlines. In the second year, specialized subjects like graphic design and supply chain management deepened my knowledge, while the option to learn a second language added versatility to my skill set. UCLL's support from dedicated faculty, modern facilities, and a conducive learning atmosphere further enriched my university experience. I wholeheartedly recommend UCLL for a practical education tailored to real-world job market challenges."

"My time at UCLL was life-changing. The practical learning gave me deep insights into the business world, making me ready for real-life challenges. The coursework and team projects boosted my confidence in business consulting and strategy development. UCLL did more than teach me; it empowered me. The skills and knowledge I gained are like a strong anchor, helping me weather any storms the future might bring. Thanks to UCLL, I am ready to face whatever comes with confidence and grace."

University College UCLL is known for the quality of its programmes. It is thus clear that we put a great deal of effort into both quality improvement and quality control. The following principles are key in this respect:

A few years ago, the NVAO (De Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie - Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders) virtually abolished the external review committees. Henceforth, each institution decided for itself how quality was controlled. Thus, UCLL devised its own, new system with, amongst other elements, dialogue committees with educational and professional experts. They also systematically asked external experts to examine specific themes, like the interconnecting of education, research and services.

The content of this educational activity consists of different components. Students attain a certificate on digital marketing skills and insights (e.g. from Google/Alphabet, Facebook/Meta, Hubspot, etc...; more information about these certificates will be given via Toledo) and there is a lecture series covering an academic perspective and reflection on different topics related to digital marketing. These topics might include the following (but the list will also be updated based on current research or trends):

Students have to follow at least one module on an external platform (Google) of which the obtained certificate is a requirement to be evaluated on the exam. More information about this will follow in the first lecture.

The main format of the educational activity are the lectures. Those might complemented with guest lectures and self-study assignments. Students are expected to attend the lectures on campus. Lecture recordings will probably be provided (but the availability of these recordings to students might depend on certain conditions).

Students are also expected to process certain lecture materials themselves. These online materials include lectures, shorter lecture clips, academic or other texts and external sources like podcasts, blogs or business articles.

The evaluation consist of two parts. On the one hand, there is a written, open book exam assessing the subjects discussed in the lectures. The exam consists of a mixture of question types (multiple choice, fill-in questions, short and longer essay questions) and is assessed with a score on 20. The exam will be conducted on the computer. Students taking this course as part of a Dutch-taught programme (e.g., master in de communicatiewetenschappen; master in de bedrijfscommunicatie) can answer the exam questions in Dutch or English. Students following this course as part of an English-taught programme (e.g., Master of Communication Sciences: Digital Media and Society) must answer the exam questions in English.

On the other hand, students have to obtain a certificate by following an online course on digital marketing (application oriented, e.g. on the Google Adwords platform; more specification follows in the first lecture and on Toledo). Obtaining this certificate is a pass/fail condition to participate in the exam. The score on the exam is the final score for the OPO.

- distinguish different ways in which the authorities can manage behavioral change and the role of social marketing in this toolbox

- extract relevant information from scientific literature in the field of marketing and behavioral science

- design evidence-based (social) marketing solutions to societally relevant problems

- critically evaluate social marketing strategies proposed by companies and authorities based on scientific evidence.

The following topics will be covered:

* The concept of social marketing (definition, background, function, issues) and its relation with adjacent fields

* Major evidence-based routes towards behavioral change (persuasion, incentive structure, social processes, choice architecture) and its relation to other similar toolboxes (e.g. laws)

* The analysis of social marketing cases and the behavioral principles used in several domains (e.G. healthy eating, pro-environmental behavior, pro-social behavior)

One part of the course consists of theoretical classes where theoretical frameworks are explained, and another part consists of interactive classes where the focus will be on the practical implication of the theory. The course uses the blended learning approach.

For the theoretical part, online movie clips will be distributed to the students a week before the interactive session in which the theory is explained. Students will also be asked to read some academic papers and case reports. It is important that the students watch the relevant movie clips and read the relevant papers as a preparation for the interactive classes.

FEATURES OF THE EVALUATION

The exam is a written, take home exam of limited duration (3 hours). The exam should be uploaded on the Toledo platform by the deadline. A back up system is provided via e-mail. Students may use any written material and the internet during the exam (course notes, books, etc.).

For the past three decades, Lehigh University students have had the incredible opportunity to participate in an exceptional global marketing program situated in the heart of Leuven, Belgium. Leuven is not only home to the prestigious Katholic University Leuven, founded back in 1425, but it's also a vibrant hub for over 50,000 international students. This cultural diversity and the city's historical significance make it an ideal setting for the study of global marketing.

Belgium's strategic location in Europe, with easy access by train to neighboring countries like France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, enhances the program's appeal. Moreover, Belgium's pivotal role in shaping modern Europe, both politically and economically, adds depth to the learning experience. The program's proximity to Brussels, the capital of the expanding European Union, provides students with a unique chance to gain firsthand insights from European Parliament members. Additionally, it offers access to the rich artistic and cultural offerings of one of Europe's major capitals.
