how to open NeuroLex in Protege?

Hi folks--what is the difference between the NIFSTD ontology found at http://purl.org/nif/ontology/nif.owl, from https://wiki.neuinfo.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/NIFSTDoverview,

and the link from the Neurolex OWL page at http://ontology.neuinfo.org/NIF/nif.owl

 

When I try to open a new project in Protege (3.4) and point it to http://ontology.neuinfo.org/NIF/nif.owl I get an error. :(  The other one at purl.org works great, but I don't want to be out of date...
