Here's the note I sent to Serena yesterday.  Is anybody up for a game on Sunday at 5 in DePere?

Serena and all,

I've been busy with home and university stuff and unable to do any organizing here in the Green Bay area so far, but I would definitely be up for Ultimate in DePere on Sunday at 5.  Below are the directions to the DePere fields we played on last summer.

Kevin

Ultimate Field for Sundays is behind Westwood Elementary School in West DePere. From Appleton take 41 to Scheuring Rd (Cty F) exit; then L on 9th St. to R on Westwood Drive. From GB: take 41 to Main Street exit, then take 9th Street to the Right. Take 9th Street south to Westwood Dr. Field is directly behind Westwood School. A middle school and ball fields are directly north of Westwood School.

Greetings!

Just a reminder that we will be playing ultimate this Thursday, 5:00 at Appleton Memorial Park.  As usual, bring a light and dark shirt, cleats, and plenty of water.

This weekend we have a couple options.  Lawrence has their own game and Uncle Buck will be playing in Whitewater.  There will be limited players in Appleton.  Please respond to me of which if either of these options would work better for you:
1.  Pickup in Appleton Saturday at 2:00.
2.  Pickup in De Pere Sunday at 5:00.
If I don't get any definite responses, we will probably cancel Ultimate this weekend.

Lost and Found
Nancy left a purple shirt on the field two weeks ago.  Last week I walked off without my cleats.  If you have either of these, please let me know and bring them to pickup tomorrow.

See you on the field!
Serena

I'll pass the word around to the Manitowoc kids. Manitowoc is playing
pick-up tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 PM, but moving to Sunday afternoons for
the rest of the year starting the next weekend (June 11th).

Any and all are welcome to come down.

FYI I'm gathering a posse to come to Appleton on June 17th and show you
how it's done on the Lakeshore. That pretty much means a lot of
sandbagging, accidental picks and length-of-the-field hucks resulting in
turnovers. Plus I throw a bad hammer at least once every possession.
And I don't mean "bad" like "Shaft is a bad mother-", just regular bad.

Don (& everyone else),

Has the Manitowoc Area organized a team for the Badger State Games?  If so, we look forward to playing you.  If not, we've got space available on our roster and would like to invite y'all to join us in MadTown (despite your ill-conceived hammers).

June 24th and 25th.  Please forward this on to anyone in the area that may be interested (especially women, as we are somewhat deficient in that area).

Thanks,
Tony

Hey T-Bone. I was just going to ask you about this. We don't have a
team of our own, mainly due to the co-ed requirement. I know we have
one girl that might be interested, she plays on Carleton's women's team,
and has what I like call "skillz". How many spots do you have available
for men? I'll ask around. Also how much $$$ would it cost? Any sponsors?

Sorry for all the questions.

Don.

Don-

Easy question first... no sponsorship. Each teammember will be
expected to bring a white and a dark t-shirt as their uniform. I
estimate the cost to be about $15 per person. That'll get you playing
time, a t-shirt, some coupons for sub shops in the Madison area, and
last year we even got a toothbrush!!! Bring extra money for food and
lodging. Some of us will be staying at Token Creek Campground, while
others will stay with friends or in a hotel. Dinner at the Great Dane
on Sat. night is a lot of fun, but not required.

(IMPORTANT POINT HERE!--- In order to guarantee that you get the size
t-shirt that you want, you have to be on my roster by this Friday
night. Anyone that has to cancel can do so at anytime without penalty,
so if you're probably going to be there, it's a good idea to let me
know)

We have 6 or 7 men on the roster already with another guy playing on
Sunday only. I'd like that number to be closer to 10-13 men. Very few
women have committed thus far, but plans are in place to improve those
numbers. If you know any dark secrets about your female friend from
Carleton, this team is not above blackmail!

Skillz are not as important as good people that love the game. We did
get medals last year, however, so come expecting to compete! Spread
the good word. I really appreciate it!

hey Tony,

I'm really sorry for not getting back to you earlier. Two of the three
guys that I had contacted had other plans that weekend. I hadn't heard
back from our representative female after I forwarded your email on to
her. Did she ever contact you in time?

Anyway we're hoping to get a team together for Cooler.

I'm still planning on bringing a crew to De Pere this Sunday. Are you
guys still playing there?

hey Don,

We had 8 players for our DePere game last week, and had a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, at least 5 of the players that were there last weekend
won't be there this weekend (Me, Serena, Peter, Scott, & Britta;
someone correct me if I'm wrong about this)

So I don't know anything about the fate of the DePere game. I hope the
interest is there, but getting 8 to show again would be difficult.

Megan did contact us. Thanks a lot for putting her in touch with us.
I'm on vacation this week, so forgive me if I don't respond quickly.

Later,
Tony

Well then I'll just plan for Manitowoc again, and invite any
Appleton/DP/GB players to come on down. We had a good turnout last week
(13 total sans me, 3 grrrrls!), so I'm hoping to carry that over.

Let me know if there is a good weekend for us to hook up. I'll hold off
on planning anything until we can agree on a date to look forward too.
I'll mention it to Donovan from the Fond du Lac group as well, although
he may be on this list too.

OK good to hear. Is she going to be playing with you? I forgot to ask
her on Sunday. She's definitely an asset (made all-regional team at
Carleton) and a leader out there.

Enjoy your vacation!
