Hi all!
My name is Nacho. I have a question regarding the function sigma, to calculate the smallworldness of a graph (
https://networkx.org/documentation/stable/reference/algorithms/generated/networkx.algorithms.smallworld.sigma.html#networkx.algorithms.smallworld.sigma
). My question is regarding the niter argument, with is the number of times each edge is rewired when creating the random reference graphs. In sigma, it is 100 by default, while in random_reference (which is the function in sigma that uses niter), it is 1 by default.
My question is why is it 100 by default in sigma; why can't it be just one? What's the advantage of using a higher number of rewirings?
Thank you in advance.
