Here is the answer I left in my blog after your comment below. You
did not leave your name in the blog comment, so I could not address
you by your name. Maybe June can add a few more?

I've never been able to frame what I'm doing in a way that MacArthur
or Kellogg would even consider a proposal. I have a suggestion that
I'd like you to consider.
Have you ever drafted an over view of SNA that would be the
introduction to a donor that you're asking for support from? Could
you create an introduction that clearly states the many values of SNA
that you articulate better than many others, and which I or anyone
else could use in our own introductions. Maybe this becomes a group
project
a) intro to SNA and its values; reasons foundation should invest in
groups who are applying SNA in mission driven orgs
b) intro to org, and ways SNA is to be applied to further mission
c) lessons that can be learned and applied to other social benefit
groups
d) discussion of costs
A and C could be written by people who are experts in SNA and who
would be advisors, consultants and/or partners to orgs in group B who
are applying SNA toward mission driven purposes. Part D would also be
written by SNA experts who understand the time and costs of applying
their knowledge in orgs like TMC. I would not even begin to know how
to create a realistic budget for this.
If A and C are ideas that the donor understands because they trust and
understand the writer, then this can help orgs that they may not know
or understand get serious consideration for support.
Maybe this is a way to get those foundations interested in SNA into a
SNA for this purpose.
