Yes, I'm a geek. I love milestones. We're in the "alpha" phase of
our testing and development of
http://www.aboutus.org/NetworkWeaversNetwork

"Alpha" in this case, means:
1. We're open for business.
2. Things are broken.
3. Things are incomplete or missing entirely
4. We need your help to develop those broken and missing pieces.

Please visit the site and poke around. To then contribute your
impressions/comments/recommendations, please do one of the following:
1. Click any "edit" link you see and just fix whatever you see is
broken, or make a comment (with your name) anywhere. It's impossible
for you to break, so just give it a try!
2. Click the "Feedback" link on the green bar on any page and leave a
comment there. Please leave your name with your comment.
3. Write an email back to this list.

I look forward to learning network weaving and wiki with you!
peace,
ted

Thanks, Ted. I'm excited as well!

A few comments:

1. At this point, please only invite selected individuals and groups to participate in our Alpha testing. While we are "open for business," we have not yet announced ourselves to the universe!

2. The "official" address of the Network Weavers Network is http://www.networkweavers.net That redirects to our AboutUs page. It's probably best to send people who are not already on AboutUs to http://www.networkweavers.net rather than http://www.aboutus.org/NetworkWeaversNetwork. But, it's no big deal.

3. We have made a few changes to the layout and content of profiles. Since this is a wiki, you are most welcome to come up with your own modified "look" and additions. However, if you want to follow the barebones "standard," you can visit my page at http://www.aboutus.org/Steve_Habib_Rose Recent changes include:

3a. Moving the Badges for Areas of Focus below the picture/contact info

3b. Creating a new style of Badge for Area of Focus -- for example, {{Badge:NetworkWeaver:AreaOfFocus2|Networking}}.

3c. Adding a section for Organizational Affiliations

3d. Adding a section for Languages I Communicate In

Please let me, Ted, or Mark know if you need any assistance.

Looking forward to your feedback and co-creating this directory with you!

in community,

Habib

I have begun to use a concept mapping tool to diagram the strategy of
the Tutor/Mentor Connection. If you vew this you can visually see how
broad the network we connect is. This is a simple tool to use and
might help some of you diagram your own networking strategies. You can
see it at http://cmapspublic.ihmc.us/servlet/SBReadResourceServlet?rid=1178301962705_1461022276_14529&partName=htmltext
