QA Performance Tester
Location: Brooklyn, NYC
Duration: 6+ Months
MANDATORY
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will
not be considered.
Qualified
candidates must have at least 4 years of experience as a Quality Assurance
Performance Tester during the testing phase of SDLC
Ascertaining performance & scalability
requirements for each release
Conduct performance tuning in different categories: network, system, platform
and application
Help to develop testing artifacts (scripts, monitors, scenarios)
Diagnose complicated performance issues based on analysis of performance tests
execution results (Load, Stress, Scalability) and come up with recommendation
for solution
Run performance benchmark tests
Build Capacity Planning/Sizing models
Has diverse experience and interests. Experience with web based application
software type as well as a quantitative background.
Ability to see the big picture/system understanding with capability/potential
to dive into low level details to support problem isolation
Good understanding of operating systems, esp. memory management, processing and
file system structure.
Proven
development capabilities in one of the following languages: Java, C++, C.
Experience with working with database: familiarity with the different database
entities, familiarity with SQL, DML. Hands on experience with Oracle and MS
SQL.
High level understanding of Java/.Net internals (memory heap allocation,
garbage collection, caching, connection pooling)
Good understanding of networking concepts, server-agent communication
Good knowledge and understanding of
software testing procedures, practices and tools
Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate
in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project;
Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
Must be able to provide documentation on their work
Must be able to
work with HP LoadRunner
Excellent oral and written communication
skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and
stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and
non-technical resources;
