- Rescue Needed - Somersault - unaltered male, 2yo, 68.6lbs This energetic boy came to BARCS as a stray on 1/28. Despite whatever circumstances led to his intake, he has remained friendly, cooperative, and eager to engage with the people around him.   He is a high-energy, confident dog who thrives when he has the chance to move, sniff, and explore. Long walks, trail adventures, and time to investigate the world are right up his alley. He especially loves butt scratches, which are a guaranteed way to win his heart. He brings enthusiasm and joy into every interaction.   During his first dog test, he was initially uncomfortable and was noted by our training team to be somewhat undersocialized. In a follow-up test, however, he appeared much more loose, bouncy, and engaged, and may show a preference for female canine companions. A home that enjoys staying active and can provide structure, enrichment, and regular exercise will help him continue building confidence and channel his energy in positive ways.   He appears generally healthy, with the exception of some dry, scaly skin that should improve with routine care.
