- Rescue Needed - Buckadoo - altered male, 12y7m, 44.2lbs Buckadoo Bonzai came in as an animal control violation on 1/29 after being found confined in a too-small plastic crate, left at the entrance of a vehicle impound lot for at least two days. Despite this, Buckadoo has shown nothing but quiet resilience. He is calm, slow-moving, and wonderfully gentle, the kind of dog who takes treats softly and prefers to enjoy his walks by sniffing and exploring the world at his own peaceful pace.   At BARCS, Buckadoo has met other dog pals and does best with gentle, respectful friends. During dog testing, he showed polite, appropriate communication: mouth closed, body low and tense at the gate, using avoidance and sniffing to signal discomfort with pushy approaches. He coexisted calmly, returned polite sniffs, and clearly asked for space rather than escalating.   Buckadoo has grade 2/4 dental disease, fatty-appearing masses likely lipomas, generalized osteoarthritis, and lenticular sclerosis.
