Gertie is a timid but loving girl. She may take some time to warm up to you--- but once she does, she will be your best friend! Gertie is a super playful and silly girl! She will never fail to make you laugh! She loves treats, and she especially loves attention! Sweet Gertie would be a wonderful addition to any family; she would even be a great candidate for the first time owner!

Gender : Female (Intact)   Age (Approx.): 3 years   Weight: 57lbs   Vaccines: Rabies   Intake Date: 03/16/2026   Heartworm Status: POS

Gertie did very well meeting this male dog! She desperately wanted to play, but quickly picked up on the size difference. She was able to tone down her crazies and calmly interact with this smaller dog. She is such a sweet and goofy girl!

Gertie did very well meeting a female dog! They enjoyed a nice play session! I believe at least one of these girls was in heat during this assessment, which may explain the mounting behavior. It did not seem to be based in aggression.

The results of this assessment reflect behaviors exhibited at the shelter during the time of testing.

Feel free to reach out with any additional questions or concerns. Thank you,
