Subject: Sweet, scared, young retriever mix looking for a place to feel safe!
Meet Reza, an approximately 10-month-old retriever mix who was brought to Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center as a stray. Reza is terrified at the shelter- he was so scared when he came in, he refused to eat. What Reza has shown us, underneath his fear, is an energetic pup who happily wags his tail, bounces around, jumps in laps, and has all the exuberance natural to a young dog- when he feels safe.
Many of our staff members have won Reza's affection, and so long as he has someone to help boost his confidence, he meets new people easily, but the shelter will never feel like a safe space for Reza where he can blossom, so we are hoping to find a foster-based rescue to take this boy on.
Reza is about 10 months old, weighs 42lbs, is neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies, bordetella, DAP, and heartworm negative.
