Subject: Foster or Rescue Needed ASAP! Dog with URI Struggling in Kennel! (Baldwin, MD)

Meet Bandit! Bandit originally came to the shelter as an owner surrender and we are hoping that we can find him his second chance at life! 

 

 

The owner reported that Bandit supposedly ‘snapped’ at him when his was pulling his leash and that Bandit had never done anything like that before. They had owned Bandit since he was a puppy and reported no other negative behaviors, animal control officers also had no issues with when picking Bandit up from the owner. We aren’t sure what Bandit’s life may have been like prior to the shelter but he has been nothing but a good boy here. He greets you with a happy tail wag and will check back in with his handler for reassurance on walks. He appears housebroken and enjoys exploring around the big play yard. He will come up for some yummy treats and enjoys getting pets as well; he will even lean on his handler for some extra loving. Bandit unfortunately has an upper respiratory infection but is on treatment. Paired with being ill and stressed, Bandit is starting to show escalating kennel stress. We are hopeful we can find him placement with a rescue or foster to prevent any further decline. Even if a foster parent can help him for just 10 days during his URI treatment that would be great!
