The staff at the shelter are doing their best to give us some leniency with the new “rules” in place this week. 💔 We’ve gotten most of the cats safe, but 2 cats remain and 8 dogs are still extremely urgent.

We have until FRIDAY to get them out! 🚨

The City of Rocky Mount shelter is in crisis due to budget cuts.

 

Apologies for any duplicate emails — we’re working fast with desperate pleas to save lives.

 

Key changes:

• No grace period – after 72 hrs, animals have 1 day adoption / 1 day rescue
• Rescue/transport pickup: Mon, Wed, Fri • 8:30am–12pm
• Food & litter donations urgently needed

 

Right now:

• 18 cats & 10 dogs need rescue immediately
• Transport assistance available within a certain radius

 

We need rescues to step in fast — these animals deserve a chance at life.
