🚨 CALLING ALL RESCUES – Freckles Needs Placement! 🚨

Meet Freckles, an 11-year-old Collie mix looking for a rescue to take him under their wing. He is neutered and weighs just under 50 lbs

Freckles is currently staying in a foster home, and here’s what we’ve learned about this sweet senior so far:

🐾 Dog Friendly
He lives with a young female Lab and does well with her. Sometimes they interact and play, and other times he simply coexists peacefully. He is currently fed separately, as he may guard his food from other dogs.

👋 Great with People
Freckles is very well-mannered with visitors and does not jump when greeting people.

👶 Children
He has been good with the foster’s toddler and even enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball. However, because he may snap if startled while sleeping or caught off guard, he would likely do best in a home with older children.

🐱 Cats
Freckles can coexist with cats, but prefers they respect his space. The foster’s cats are used to cuddling with their other dog, and Freckles would rather the cats do their own thing.

🏠 Crate & Home Habits
He may whine briefly in a crate, but settles and does fine overnight or when left home alone. Like many dogs, he may get into the trash if given the opportunity.

🚽 House Training
Freckles is housebroken and does best when kept on a consistent schedule.

🪜 Mobility
He can manage stairs, but struggles going up them and would likely be most comfortable in a home without stairs.

🩺 Medical
Freckles does have multiple masses, which a volunteer veterinarian suspects may be lipomas (benign fatty masses), but further testing would be needed to confirm.

💛 Freckles is a sweet senior boy who deserves comfort and care in this next stage of his life.

If your rescue may be able to help Freckles, please reach out. Thank you for considering giving this deserving boy a chance.
