Roush came to us on 2/21 following a police standby after his owner tragically passed away.
This handsome gentleman has stolen our hearts with his snowy face and gentle demeanor. Roush enjoys leisurely strolls and walks nicely on leash. He knows “sit” and will happily offer his paw right away. He loves pets, chin scratches, and gives plenty of kisses in appreciation for treats. He appears to be housetrained and has done well with children while in the shelter.
Roush is friendly and cooperative overall, though he is sensitive about having his hind end handled. In playgroups, he has shown continued mounting behavior toward female dogs and can be more tense/avoidant with males, so he may do best with very slow, structured introductions.
Roush has multi-joint osteoarthritis and will need ongoing management to keep him comfortable. A full medical summary can be provided upon request.
