Good afternoon,
I am a volunteer sending this email on behalf of the Edgecombe County Animal Shelter in North Carolina.
Klondike is a super loving and loyal dog. He has been at the shelter far longer than he should have ever been! He is heartworm negative and otherwise appears healthy! He is beyond ready to begin the next chapter of his life and find his forever home. Klondike can be timid at first, but he opens up into a wonderful and goofy boy! He would make an amazing buddy for anyone-- including most first-time owners!

Klondike did well while meeting a male dog. Klondike is a high-energy boy-- he was a bit too pushy for the other dog. Even when the other dog corrected him, Klondike did not amp-up the interaction-- he simply walked away. Klondike would likely be too much for lower-energy dogs. He has the best intentions and just wants to play!
Klondike did very well meeting a high-energy female dog. These two babies enjoyed a wonderful play session. Klondike is a very intense dog-- but with the right friend, he makes a wonderful playmate!
The results of this assessment reflect behaviors exhibited at the shelter during the time of testing.
