Please see the listed animals. If you are interested in any of them please contact us at 336-849-7901 option 2 or by replying to this email. We are located in Yadkinville, NC. We are a small Shelter and have very limited space. Please let us know if you can help. If you know a rescue who may be able to help please have them email Breanna at bosb...@yadkincountync.govor Jason at jro...@yadkincountync.gov to get set up as an approved rescue through our Shelter. Our pull fees are $20 for dogs and $10 for cats unless they are under 4 months of age, then there is not a pull fee. The pull fee includes DAPPV, Rabies, Bordetella vaccine and a microchip for dogs and a HCPCh vaccine, Rabies vaccine and microchip for cats.

                                

If we have labeled an animal one breed and you do not agree, please know that if it is an animal that you are interested in we can easily change the breed in our system to reflect that and will ensure that its medical paperwork is updated.

Additional Info: This boy came in and was very scared of us. He is warming up to us and we are able to pet him if we go slowly. We has to be kept on the leash mostly because he is hard to get him to come back to you after you let him off. He is a very sweet boy and just needs to learn how to trust. He is definitely going to need a rescue that will be able to build up his confidence and trust in people. He does fine with dogs just seems nervous and the people who surrendered him said he did well with their kids. He weighs 50 pounds.

Age: 1 year

Breed: Hound mix

Sex: Female

Additional Info: This pretty girl is the biggest goofball and has so much love to give. She has lots of energy and does like to jump but overall she is amazing. She does well with other dogs and people. She weighs 38 pounds.

Age: 4 years

Breed: Shepherd mix

Sex: Neutered Male

UTD on vaccines: Yes, HW Positive

Additional Info: Scooby is the cutest boy with those big ears and is so sweet. He does great with other dogs and people and listens well. Overall he is amazing and would be a great fit for anyone’s household.

Name: Bobo

Age: 3.5 years

Breed: Staffordshire terrier mix

Sex: Male

UTD on vaccines: Yes, HW Neg

Additional Info: This guy was surrendered to the Shelter due to the owners being in a serious car accident. Both are in ICU and will not be able to care for Bobo so he was brought to us. He is a sweet boy that does well with other dogs and people. He will sit and has such a cute chunky face. He weighs 61 pounds.

Age: 2 years

Breed: Shepherd mix

Sex: Females

UTD on vaccines: Yes.

Additional Info: Phoenix (Right) and Luna (Left) are both in urgent need of a rescue. Both of these girls are around two years old and were living in the same home until being surrendered to the shelter after initial re-homing attempts were unsuccessful. The reason for surrender was an unfortunate fight between the two but please don’t close out of this email because of that.

 

Here at the shelter, after a day or two of getting to know us, both of these girls have been nothing but sweethearts towards people. We’ve also tested each of them with a variety of different dogs with ultimately the same results. If there’s another dog walking around them and minding its own business then neither of these girls give it the time of day, even if they get close, but when there is a more energetic dog that really pushes towards them or even jumps at them, both of these girls growl and give warning that they will bite if provoked. Still, no matter what they are always good with people.

 

These girls wouldn’t necessarily need to be rescued together but I truly feel like they could thrive in any household with proper and consistent training whether they were together or not. Obviously single dog homes would work amazing for these girls as well. If you are able to help these girls get out of the shelter and get the fair shot they deserve then please let us know. Additional Info: This pretty boy is very sweet but also very freaked out here in the Shelter. You can be petting him he will rub all over his kennel and your hand but sudden movements startle him and he will hiss and swat. He has so much potential and we are continuing to work with him to make him more comfortable with his surroundings.

Additional Info: This boy is a sweetheart and is extremely loving. He would make an amazing addition to anyone’s home.

Age: 1 year

Additional Info: Yang is the absolute sweetest boy. He does well with other cats and came in with his brother Yin. He does have some eye issues and he has been getting Terramycin twice a day. His eyes have made improvement since when he first got here but he still has a way to go.

Sex: Male

Additional Info: Yin came in with his brother Yang and is very sweet. He is a little more reserved than Yang but is still very sweet. His eyes are a little irritated and he has also been on Terramycin but his eyes aren’t near as bad as Yang’s.
