The shelter stays at capacity, so many lives are being lost 🙁They have very little help.
🚨 FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY — 13 KENNELS OF CATS SAVED 🐾
We recently heard a rumor that Animal Controls pay us to take cats from them.
‼️‼️That is NOT TRUE.‼️‼️
The truth is, 100% of our fundraising is up to us and our community. We are not paid to pull cats from Animal Control. We step in because we know that when shelters are full and animals are at risk of being euthanized for space, we can sometimes give them another chance.
And this week, that chance was desperately needed.
Floyd County's PAWS was euthanizing for space. We did not have room. Not even close.
But we made room.
We pulled 13 kennels of cats into our care — cats who otherwise may not have had another option. Our volunteers are stretching themselves even further, adding fosters to already-full plates. They are opening their homes, giving these cats safety, love, and time.
But rescuing them is only the beginning.
Now we need to feed them.We need litter and supplies. We need veterinary care.We need medications when necessary. We need to get them healthy, socialized, and ready for adoption. And ultimately, we need to find each one a forever home. ❤️
This is where YOU come in.
Every fundraiser we post is an opportunity to help us continue saying YES when an animal desperately needs us.
There is no Animal Control check waiting for us. There is no payment for taking these cats.
There is only our rescue, our volunteers, and a community of people who believe these animals deserve a chance.
If you can donate, even a few dollars makes a difference. If you can't donate, please share this post. Your share could reach the person who can help us cover the next vet bill — or the person who is looking for their next forever family member.
13 kennels came in. Now let's help 13 groups of cats make it home. 🐾❤️
Thank you for helping us make room when there was nowhere else to go.
