Subject: Husky with positive history around kids, cats and dogs - BARCS, Baltimore MD
Ginger Beer- female, 6 years old, 47lbs
Ginger Beer is a 6-year-old, sweetheart, 47lbs of love who has spent her life surrounded by kids, dogs, and even cats.
According to Ginger Beers previous owner, she is super smart, energetic, and loves being surrounded by kids of all ages. Ginger Beer comes from a home with eight children (ages 2y/o-17y/o), two dogs, and a cat.
Recently, Ginger Beer was reactive towards one of the children (10 years old) in the home when he returned her to her crate after a walk. This led the owner to make the difficult decision to surrender her to the shelter. Prior to this event, she has never had issues with children in the home.
She’s lived a full, adventurous life; sometimes escaping the yard, chasing critters, and always exploring and she’s ready for a safe, loving home where she can be the star of the family.
Why she’s special:
- Social with dogs and friendly with strangers
- Tolerant of touch, handling for both regular grooming and vet visits. Her previous owner says her vet staff and grooming staff loved her!
- Confident yet calm outside of stressful situations
- Fully vetted and up-to-date on care
Ginger Beer is available for placement immediately .
She deserves a second chance to live in a home that fits her adventurous but sweet personality.
