Poor adorable 1 year old Nami must receive a rescue commitment or adoption request by 9/7! This very sweet girl was abandoned when her owner moved and left her behind. She is a good loving girl! Please share! Thank you.

This is Nami, 1yr old, spayed female, Pit mix, 44lbs, given up by her owner because her roommate left Nami when they moved out. She said Nami is crate trained, housebroken, personality is excited at times, loves food, nervous of new situations and new people, had her for 4 weeks, never bit anyone, is not destructive in the home, good in the car, quiet in the house

 

Nami has been here since 7/24/26. We have been working with her because when she is in her kennel and new people walk in, she is cornered and cannot handle it. She barks at the people and if they stop to make up with her she growls and barks. Out of her kennel, she is a different dog, goes up to people and plays with other dogs. Our volunteers have all been able to go into her kennel and leash her. She is very obedient to a person she has bonded with, so you can tell her to stop barking and she will listen if she already is bonded to you. We brought her up to our office and

 

She needs someone to protect by setting her up in a calm introduction when meeting new people so she can have a second to know she does not need to be afraid of the people.

If you can take this pet or know someone who wants to adopt, be sure to send me an email by Monday night, 9-7-26, so I can make a note of it. We are closed Sat-Mon for the Holiday weekend and will be back in on Tuesday.

 

After this date we will re-evaluate Nami around strangers through her kennel and watch her behavior through her kennel with visitors to the dog kennel.
