Hello All,

 

I just wanted to pass this information on if you have anyone in your network that would be interested in attending we would love to have them. We are using network mapping and pokens to enhance connections, and help people visualize their networks.

 

The Agriculture & Food Council of Alberta (AFC), along with several community partners are creating a new and innovative summit concept for the agriculture and related industries. SummitUp! is the inaugural event to be held Sept 24-25, 2014 in Olds at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites. The concept includes utilising various themes in the program itinerary including: Local Living Economies, Advancing Innovation, Enterprising Non-Profits and Leading Collaboratively. Summit participants will have the opportunity to choose their interactive sessions, known as Learning Labs, according to one theme or a mix of themes.

Sessions include a Natural Health Products Group Panel discussion on Collaborative Framework, including Jacqueline Shan from Afinix Life Sciences, Brittni Kurluke from the Trico foundation will be hosting a workshop on Social Enterprise and growing a sustainable non-profit organisation, a pre-event webinar led by economist and senior resource associate Elizabeth Huculak introducing the sustainability drivers for agriculture and rural communities.  Interactive elements focusing on innovation will get participants up and out of their seats and into innovative spaces including the Olds College Brewery with taste testing, Wetlands run/walk, the National Meat Center and newly renovated retail store.

Join us from September 24-25 in Olds, Alberta for two days of linking, learning, and leading within your community.
