Dear Network Weaving Colleagues!
I wanted to follow-up from our call today for those of you unable to make it to share some reflections and next steps.
We had a great call with about 7 of us on-line or on the phone, offering recent highlights and learnings, discussing successes and challenges, and looking at best practices. Our final discussion item was about supporting each other more effectively and expanding our network to create a larger "Collaborative Networks Learning Community". I wrote a bit about this in my message in the lead-up to the call, and I volunteered at the end of our call today to get you all a brief (one page) summary of what this might involve for your input and ideas.
I have also started a
potential participants spreadsheet on our shared Google Drive folder, in the Collaborative Possibilities folder I created there several months ago. It is a place where you can add your name and connections not in our community who you think would both benefit from and contribute to a learning community around network approaches for social change. I've added my name and info there, and a list of colleagues I'd like to invite to an expanded forum for our learning.
We also discussed doing our monthly call in March a day earlier (on March 25 from 9:30-11 AM PT) so we can talk through this and be prepared for an April launch if folks are interested in that. (I will be on a plane to New Zealand on the last Wednesday of next month, so March 26, 2014 won't even happen on my calendar this year and June suggested moving our call).
Please be in touch with questions and look for a brief summary for your feedback soon!
Best,
Odin
