Request: Integrated Routing and Bridging

Hello All,

Could someone please provide me with some reading material on
Bridging ?
I am able to understand how to do it, but am not sure if I am
understanding when and why we need to use it. I request for some kind
of documentation with scenarios that would tell why and where Bridging
can be useful. You know, things like why we would ever need to use a
BVI interface and when it is useful with Wireless.. etc
Websites arent helping me much here, or may be I am struggling to find
the correct website where the info is clear.
