• 8-10 years of experience in networking, with a minimum of 2-3 years of handson experience with Fortinet platforms (CLI, solutioning, upgrades, troubleshooting).
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Security, or a related field.

 

Detailed Job Description

• 8-10 years of experience in networking, with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet platforms (CLI, solutioning, upgrades, troubleshooting).
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Security, or a related field.

 

Key Responsibilities

As an SD-WAN Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

 

• Performing software and firmware upgrades for SD-WAN Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs) and ensuring alignment with corresponding controller/manager versions.
• Managing patch deployment for SD-WAN devices.
• Executing remote device replacements due to hardware failures or end-of-life.
• Developing and implementing configuration validation and rollback plans.
• Coordinating with customers to schedule maintenance windows and secure approvals.
• Conducting post-upgrade validation and generating compliance reports.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and version tracking across all sites.
• Updating documentation and the knowledge base.
• Validating automated execution processes.

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of telecommunications and security principles.
• Fundamental knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, and IP Routing.
• Proficiency in routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and GRE.
• Experience with Unix-based systems is a plus.
• Fortinet and other security certifications are highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
• Ability to operate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and cross-functional organizations.
• A proactive approach to issue management, driving resolutions with minimal direction.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
