Network Monitoring System (need help or guide please)

Hello guys, good day! I'm Van Tristan Calimlim, a student who's into developing a network monitoring system that could will have a Java app or Web based (PHP) as a platform.

I've found Netty and I'm very interested to know how to develop using this one. Could somebody please help me or give me a guideline (if possible, a step-by-step guide) so I could get started. My department wants me to be finished by the 2nd week of June.

Sorry if this sounds blunt but I think you will have to invest some time to understand if netty is really what you are looking for and read the docs.

Just a quick question, is Netty capable of receiving SNMP and could do NetFlow? As these features are included in my project

Its a network framework so yes its capable of this. That said the decoder / encoder needs to be written by yourself.

Maybe this project can be a help for you as inspiration as it implements a net flow collector written on top of netty:

Sir, I can't understand anymore... I've been trying to import the jar files of Netty into my project, but not a single thing on any tutorials that I found on the web that could read or run.

I've followed the tutorial on netty.io, I've copied all the source code and says, still can't find my imported netty jar file, any help please? :(

Sorry but this is more of an IDE question then anything.

You will need to consult the docs for the one you are using.
