Before embarking on a deeper study of the code in io.netty.resolver.dns, I'd thought I ask first.

Is DnsNameResolver (or any other class) designed for extensibility in the sense that it can be tailored to support  query types other than A and AAAA?

Specifically, can I somehow extend or otherwise use DnsNameResolver (or another class) to support NAPTR and SRV queries?

Thanks!

Hey,

yes there are the `query(…)` methods you could use for this. You basically would create a new DnsRecord subtype and patch DnsRecordEncoder / DnsResponseDecoder to handle it.

We love PRs :)
