Can anyone provide some insight on what happened to PSM v1.x downloads?

I can't find any of the PSM 1.x versions form either the Iplanet and
Mozilla site anymore. Our customers use Netscape v4.7x and can't/won't
roll over to Netscape 6.x until it fully supports S/MIME for at least
Windows and Solaris builds and then they'll have to test it. So a quick
roll over is not going to happen.

Perhaps I'm just overlooking it somewhere, but I swear I saw the
software only a month ago on Iplanet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem; I complained to the iplanet webmaster a few
weeks ago about the dead links; their position was that this was
covered by netscape 6.x, built-in psm, and the old psm was no longer
available. (iplanet ~= sun at this point).

Did psm 1.4 get included in netscape 4.79? How would one tell?

We are working on finding a new home for PSM 1.4 on the Netscape
website. I'll post
here when the download information is available.

Question...
Isn't PSM 1.4 designed for Netscape 6.x? I know that a few weeks ago I
used PSM 1.4 with Netscape 4.79 and there was a 'big' problem with
exporting certs. By 'big' I mean that while the browser/PRM said the export
went OK, in fact a bad MAC had been applied and the resulting pkcs7 was not
loadable. When i removed the PSM, the exported file was valid, worked, and
was 10 bytes smaller. I know it was the MAC by using the OpenSSL tools to
examine the file.

That was when I was told that PSM 1.2 was for Netscape 4.x. When I went
looking for that version I found that all PSMs were gone from iPlanet. But
these groups said it was Netscape problem, not Mozilla's.

Due to raging customer demand I'm happy to announce that the
download team has once again added PSM 1.4 to the
download site.

http://sbsdownload.netscape.com/psm/index.cgi

PSM 1.4 is an add-on to Netscape Communicator 4.7x, which
supports dual-key S/MIME, CRMF/CMMF, and key archival.

This is not a new product, we're just making it available again.

Note:
PSM 1.4 cannot be used with Netscape 6.
PSM 2.x provides the equivalent functionality for Netscape 6, but
it cannot be used with Communicator 4.7x.
