*NOTE BENE*
This is being posted from my BACKUP system using SeaMonkey 2.49.4 ;/
I have an intentionally isolated machine machine running Debian 11.3 .
In November I had used seamonkey-2.53.14.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 to
to do a virgin install of SeaMonkey. IIRC I used automatic defaults.
I've had no problems or odd occurrences until THIS morning.
As soon as internet was available, it did some sort of *UNREQUESTED*
update/upgrade to SeaMonkey 2.53.15 .
Two questions:
1. How do I prevent this from *ever* happening again?
2. Might it have damaged my system? [The update procedure had
automatically displayed the release note with bright red
warning to have a safe backup copy of your profile.]
