Compacted & Disappeared

SM 1.1.18 - XPPro SP3:

I just compacted my folders and the past 3 months of emails are gone
from my inbox! I've compacted before, but never LOST anything!

if you have a lot of compacting, then the message do
disappear, but should reappear shortly. If they don't,
then click on another folder, then back, and they
should reappear.

Nope... opened, closed, opened, switched, booted, opened... still gone .

May we assume you are displaying "total" and there is enough width in
the 'Name' column to see same?

close SM, then delete all the *.msf files from the Mail
Section within the SM profile. Reopen SM. Did that work?
