what they're doing is sniffing for your browser, and
they've determined that if you're not using firefox or
internet explorer, then they don't want you.
One way to fix this is to add firefox to your user
agent. To find what your is, click on Help, About
SeaMonkey, and you'll see something like this:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20090825 SeaMonkey/1.1.18
So, what you want to do is add firefox to that, so now
facebook will think you're using firefox. To do that,
in the address book type in about:config then right
click on any entry and select New, String. In the
first box put in:
general.useragent.extra.notfirefox
then in the second box put in:
Suck Firefox/2.0.0.20
you can change "suck" to anything you want. Close that
window, and now look at the Help, About SeaMonkey and
it should be changed, and now you can try facebook.

THANKYOU! THANKYOU! This solved the problem. Your instructions were
step by step and excellent. My wife uses SeaMonkey Mail and likes to
jump from the links in emails to Navigator on Facebook. They must
have just recently changed to "sniff" for their 'preferred' browsers .
. . Thanks, Again Paul
