Is there a setting to force Panorama to use acceleration even if
Panorama with Shadow buffering?

Panorama doesn't have any acceleration - do you mean, can you force
Mozilla to use DIVE, even if Panorama is the active driver? I'm not
sure if the environment variable settings affect anything other than the
mouse cursor, but you can try setting MOZ_ACCELERATED=2 and see what
happens.

I'm not sure where the DIVE code is implemented, or if it is even
checked into the tree yet.
