i'm new withThunderbird

i'm using Thunderbird 2, and have some questions about it (please, don't
tell me to use TB3, i'll do it if I can use TB2 as I want) :
_For news and mail :_
- when i'm writing a message, the text is "courrier" (fixed width), but
in options, i've choosen variable width. why ? (the message is received
in variable text, so it's ok, but i don't see it also in variable text ?
- when i read a message (from news or mail) with accompanying picture, I
can't drag and drop the picture from the message to a directory : i have
a message "not possible because the document is currently used...". why
? how to do ?
_For the news :_
- the list of the news is ordered as created : is it possible to order
it by name ? how ?
- if I read a message, after some seconds (!), if I choice it again, it
is readen again ! (not memorized). why ?
- if I want to get many message with their accompagnying document, is it
possible to do it in one run ? and not for each message ? (it is
possible with outlook, where I can "combine" many message)

why, TB3 isn't final release yet, so why would we tell
you to use it.

put the last _ before the : for it to work.

what you see and what you receive are two different
things. If you send it with courrier, but I will
receive it as Times New Roman.

how are you dragging and dropping it to a directory? A
directory within TB, or one within windows?

unsubscribe, then resubscribe to the way you want it.

are you talking about attachments with images that have
been split up. If yes, then no TB can't do that,
however there is a work around:
